About Us

Vision:
The vision of Unearthed is the freedom and holistic transformation of men, women, and communities victimized by the sex industry.

Mission:
Our mission is to break darkness with hope by interceding and releasing love, joy, peace and righteousness through relationship with those involved in the sex industry.

What We Do:
Our main call as a ministry is to intercession. We believe that through our prayers, God is changing the atmosphere in Korea and releasing freedom. We meet as a group weekly to research what is currently happening in Korea's sex industry and to pray. We also go to specific Red Light districts each month to do prayer walks for specific people, businesses, and brothels. Unearthed also has the opportunity to bring awareness to many different groups of people through speaking engagements, seminars, and events.

History:
In late 2008, the Lord began to reveal the depth of the sex industry in Korea to one of the sisters in the group. He opened her eyes and she began to see that what she thought were normal restaurants, bars, or singing rooms, were actually establishments for prostitution. As she spent time in general prayer and research, God revealed the gravity of the situation in Seoul and all of Korea.  In the summer of 2009, she began to pray specifically for a ministry. The Lord gave her confirmation to start a ministry and Unearthed was born.  At the end of 2009, a group of 3 began to scout different areas and Red Light Districts in Seoul where the prayer walks would be held. In the spring of 2010, Unearthed held its first official prayer walk through a local Red Light District.  Today, Unearthed continues to intercede for Korea's sex industry through weekly prayer meetings and periodic prayer walks in different areas around Seoul.
